Graduate Programs Tuition and Costs

Syracuse University tuition for graduate programs is charged by the credit hour. The graduate tuition rate is set by the Syracuse University Board of Trustees for each academic year (announced in May and applicable in August).

The 2026-2027 cost per credit for all School of Education programs is $2,086 per credit, except for the Social Work M.S.W. which is $1,226 per credit.

Students may be subject to additional fees, including the Health and Wellness Fee, Activity Fee, and/or Student Health Insurance. Students are also responsible for their own housing, meals, parking, books, and other supply costs.

Tuition costs for School of Education programs can be estimated using the current cost per credit, an estimated 3-5% tuition cost increase each year, and the number of credits required for each graduate program.
All applicants to graduate programs in the School of Education are automatically considered for merit-based scholarship opportunities at the time of application review. No separate scholarship application is required. Scholarship awards are determined based on a holistic review of applicants’ academic background, professional experience, leadership potential, and alignment with program goals.
