Literacy Education (Birth-Grade 12), M.S.

The master’s degree in Literacy Education prepares graduates to help all students develop essential literacy skills through culturally responsive curriculum and instruction.

This program reflects the latest research and work around literacy instruction through personal instruction, dynamic online experiences, and community-based projects. This program meets the academic requirements for initial and professional New York State teacher certification in Literacy Education (both Birth-Grade 6 and Grades 5-12); existing initial certification in any teaching area is required.
