Student teachers and Solvay middle schoolers around a table

Through InquiryU@Solvay, the Solvay Union Free School District and Syracuse University School of Education partner to jumpstart the high school transitions of Solvay 9th graders via a summer writing workshop. The workshop—typically held in July—is also open to high schoolers.

Staffed by School of Education faculty and graduate students in secondary education master’s courses, this university-school partnership brings together students interested in developing their writing skills through small collaborative workshops and a public celebration at the conclusion where administrators, teachers, and families share in student success.
