The School of Education is proud to support graduate students who want to transform education and create a more equitable world. Scholarships are available for nationally recognized master’s and certificate programs in teaching, counseling, instructional design, higher education, and more. 99% of School of Education graduate students receive significant scholarship funding. These scholarships are available for full-time or part-time study and all applicants are automatically considered.

Significant Scholarships for Master’s Degrees

All applicants for School of Education master’s degrees are automatically considered for significant scholarships.

All applicants for School of Education certificates of advanced study are automatically considered for significant scholarships.

Details and Eligibility: Receipt of a Syracuse University School of Education scholarship is based on maintaining good academic standing, including 3.0 GPA. Scholarships are not available to full-time SU employees, spouses, or partners eligible for remitted tuition benefits, or for students attending the School of Education through Fort Bliss, the Syracuse Urban Fellowship, MOU agreements, or Fulbright. Scholarships cannot be combined with other School of Education percentage scholarships, graduate assistantships, the Syracuse University Forever Orange Scholarship, or the City Year Scholarship. Students without current NYS teacher certification or an undergraduate background in education may be required to take additional liberal arts courses before starting a certification-eligible master’s program. School of Education scholarships cannot be used on these prerequisite courses.
