Bryan English G’17 is making waves with a new drone technology course at several high schools in the Syracuse City School District. English, an alumnus of the C.A.S. in Educational Leadership and a current educational leadership doctoral student, received a grant through the SCSD Educational Foundation to start drone racing teams and a competition at Nottingham, Henninger, Corcoran and PSLA at Fowler high schools.
“Drone Technology is an emerging field…we wanted more kids to have the chance to become interested in drones in a fun, hands-on way. They’re learning pitch, yaw, roll – principles of drone flight – through programming their controls.”
