Admissions Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree. Master’s in education or related area (i.e., literacy, reading education, or TELL) preferred.
Official transcript of all undergraduate and graduate study
3 years K-12 teaching experience recommended
A well written personal statement indicating focus, drive, and knowledge of literacy-related Ph.D. career paths
3 recommendations that speak to the candidate’s potential to contribute to the field of literacy
GRE is optional (not required)
TOEFL scores for students who are non-native speakers of English
Interview encouraged
