Admissions Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, including a minimum of 12 credits of social sciences.
    • The Advanced Standing MSW requires a bachelor’s degree in social work.
  • Official transcript of all undergraduate and graduate study.
  • A personal essay of 600–800 words in which you describe your professional goals, future professional plans and academic interests.
  • 3 letters of recommendation from professors and/or employers. If you have graduated within the last five years, an academic reference is strongly encouraged.
  • Resume or CV.
  • GRE is not required.

  • Caring Gene Pathways Training Program supports those interested in human services fields who commit to working in NY state with full tuition and fees, case specialist support, and job placement assistance.
