This year’s Syracuse Athletics LetterWinners of Distinction include two School of Education Alumni: Herman Card ’68 (baseball) and Richard Slutzky ’64 (wrestling).
Herman Card is a three-year varsity letterwinner in baseball and received an M.S. in English Education from the School of Education.
Richard Slutzky is a two-time All-American and EIWA champion in wrestling. He received a B.S. in English Education in 1964 and a M.S. in Physical Education in 1967, both from Syracuse.
LetterWinners were selected based on athletic achievement as well charitable activities, professional accomplishments, and postgraduate involvement with Syracuse University. All recipients will be honored at a banquet on November 8.
