Educational Leadership, C.A.S.

The deadline for admissions for the fall semester is June 15 of the same year. Applicants should ensure that all of the required materials are submitted by that date.

Admissions Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and cumulative undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.0; Master’s degree in a teaching or school specialist field.
  • Official transcript of all undergraduate and graduate study.
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
  • 3 letters of recommendation that speak to the applicant’s professional, leadership, and academic qualifications. Two should have supervised the applicant at some point in time.
  • Personal essay demonstrating candidates’ beliefs about student learning, commitment to diversity, enthusiasm for learning, willingness to foster collaboration, and ethics.
  • Resume or CV.
  • Applicants with strong applications will be contacted for an admissions interview.

Financial Support

  • Rising Diverse Leaders Scholarship: scholarship awards available to encourage educators with diverse identities to pursue leadership studies. Amounts vary per semester; contact Teaching and Leadership for more information.
  • Future Leaders Scholarship: students can receive a savings of up to 70% off university tuition rates. For ALL current students and those admitted between Fall 2020 and Spring 2024; no separate application required. Scholarship amount determined on an individual basis, depending on the number of credit hours required to earn the C.A.S.
