The Genovese Scholarship Endowment Fund provides scholarships and academic support to outstanding Master of Social Work students. Established in recognition of Professor Jennifer Genovese G’83, G’13’s contributions to social work education, the fund helps reduce the financial burden of graduate study, encourages community-centered service, and prepares future social workers to address critical needs such as mental health, elder care, veterans’ services, and substance abuse treatment. Recipients of the scholarship are recognized and known as Genovese Scholars.
The Holocaust and Genocide Studies Program Fund supports educational opportunities that deepen understanding of the Holocaust, genocide, human rights, and social justice. Indigenous Teacher Preparation Scholarship FundThe Indigenous Teacher Preparation Scholarship Fund provides scholarship and financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled in the School of Education who are members, or children of members, of federally or state-recognized tribal nations. Gifts help reduce financial barriers to earning a degree in education while supporting academic success, professional development, and experiential learning opportunities, including conferences, study abroad, and study away experiences, helping cultivate the next generation of Indigenous educators and leaders who will serve their communities.
The Baldanza Fund for Excellence in Education Policy in Practice supports the Baldanza Fellows Program by providing scholarships, living stipends, and guaranteedemployment opportunities for aspiring teachers from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds. Through an accelerated master’s degree and teacher certification program, fellows gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and community support while preparing to teach in local partner districts. The program aims to address teacher shortages in Central New York, strengthen educational outcomes for underserved students, and increase the number of educators whose backgrounds and experiences reflect the communities they serve.
