Social Work, M.S.W.

Essential for career advancement in the profession, the M.S.W. in Social Work is your credential for change leadership in social, economic, and environmental justice.

This program empowers the next generation of social work leaders and equips them with the tools to enact the change they want to see in their communities. Syracuse’s M.S.W. program prepares social workers—who are committed to the values of human diversity and dignity—to help others navigate life’s challenges.

Students can choose between full-time or part-time study in our on-campus, residential program; or online part-time study. An Advanced Standing program is available in all formats for applicants who already have an undergraduate degree in Social Work. The M.S.W. is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), and prepares graduates to earn the social work license by sitting for the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) licensing examination.

Application Deadline: July 15 | More admissions information
