Reading just a few minutes a day can make a world of difference in a child’s education. The School of Education has partnered with Syracuse Athletics, and Visions Federal Credit Union to encourage reading in all forms and thank the schools, teachers, and staff who work hard for their students with Otto’s Fall Reading Kickoff!
We’re encouraging a passion for reading (and the Syracuse Orange) by rewarding staff and students for reading in whatever form and amount works for them. Teachers, administrators, and other educators and staff can sign up your classroom, a grade level, or your whole school to participate.
You can set your own goals for your students or class as a whole, or just encourage students to read as much as they can. For younger or disabled students, this could include being read to by staff or family, using audiobooks, or other literacy activities. Whatever gets them learning!
