The School of Education community remembers Naomi Warren, who passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 2.
Naomi was the inspiration for the Spector/Warren Fellowship Program, Holocaust Education for Future Educators, started in 2005. More than 200 Syracuse University students and more than a dozen faculty members met and studied alongside Naomi.
For this work as an educator, in 2013 Syracuse University honored Naomi with The William Pearson Tolley Medal for Distinguished Leadership in Lifelong Learning.
As our students go out into the world, they will carry Naomi’s story, her spirit, and the meaning of being an ally to next generations.
