PAST: What memory from your time at SOE do you most cherish?
One memory I cherish from my time at the School of Education is my student teaching experiences and having the ability to go to several placements and learn how to become a teacher all over the Syracuse community.
PRESENT: What are you working on now that you’d like to share with fellow alums?
After graduating with my master’s in Social Studies Education in 2023, I accepted my teaching job at Franklin and have been here ever since. Eventually I would like to look into continuing my education in a doctorate program that focuses on sociology or school leadership.
“I hope that when democracy is on the line, students and educators are on the side of history that chooses inclusion, diversity, and positive changes for all students.”
FUTURE: What is your hope for the future of education and learning?
I hope that the future of education and learning continues to help students make connections between the past and their present and helps them learn right from wrong. I also hope that when democracy is on the line, students and educators are on the side of history that chooses inclusion, diversity, and positive changes for all students and their needs.
