Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP)

Setting up students success—in high school, college, the workforce and beyond

We are the Syracuse University branch of Liberty Partnerships Program, New York’s leading nonprofit dedicated to keeping students on the graduation path. Our network of educators, social workers and change-makers empower middle and high school students to graduate and continue on to college or stable employment. Liberty Partnerships works directly with Syracuse’s public schools to bring academic and community resources into the city’s public schools, and do what it takes to help every student graduate.

Since 1997, the graduation rate among Liberty students has remained above 95%, compared to a statewide graduation rate of 84.8%

Programming highlights includes:

  • One-on-one relationships with students.
  • Tutoring, mentoring, socio-emotional counseling, and career and college prep.
  • After school and summer programming, so our work doesn’t stop when the bell rings.
  • Working inside Syracuse schools every day, building trust and relationships with students, staff, volunteers, families, and community partners.
  • The Syracuse University LPP Scholarship, awarding at least half tuition to LPP participants who attend SU.
