Career Services and the Office of Academic Services helps students in preparation programs apply for New York State certification. While our preparation programs meet the academic requirements, additional paperwork and testing is required to receive certification. Contact Career Services or your advisor with any questions about the process.

Credential File Service

A credential file contains letters of recommendation that can be sent to potential employers and graduate schools. There is a $35 registration fee, which covers the first three mailings or the first six emailed files. Additional mailings can be done for a fee. Once you’ve established a file, it remains active for the duration of your career life; updated letters can be added at any time. For more details and to set up your credential file, please refer to the Credential File Application (.pdf).
