Instructional Design Foundations, CAS

Program Requirements

The Instructional Design Foundations certificate program requires 12 graduate credits. Much shorter than a master’s degree, it can be completed in one calendar year of part-time study (2 courses at a time). The CAS can be completed either fully online, or in a campus-based, in-person format. Students must choose either in-person or online to complete all of their coursework. Students enrolled in the fully online program can study from anywhere with no on-campus time commitment.

Coursework areas include:

  • Principles of Instruction and Learning
  • Instructional Design and Development
  • Techniques in Educational Evaluation
