The certificate of advanced study in Instructional Design Foundations helps professionals advance their knowledge in designing instructional materials for use across a variety of platforms and delivery methods.
This program provides a strong base in designing effective and efficient instructional materials, as well as their development, implementation, analysis, and evaluation. Roles in instructional design, digital instruction, human performance evaluation, and educational technologies are some of the fastest growing positions in the United States.
Many of our CAS students complete this program part time while also working, and find an immediate benefit to their jobs and careers from this specialized program. Graduates work in business, healthcare, media, higher education, social services, nonprofit, and government areas as instructional designers, curriculum specialists, and training supports. Courses in the CAS can also be transferred into a future M.S. or Ph.D. in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation.
