Experiential Learning Opportunities

The School of Education is transforming the academic experience for undergraduates and graduates by offering multiple experiential learning opportunities that put theory into practice, leverage partnerships throughout our community, and allow students to hone profession-ready skills in authentic ways.

We offer field experiences in diverse and inclusive environments for pre-service teachers; clinical simulations that approximate challenging real-world scenarios for pre-professionals; live observation lesson study in K-12 school contexts; study abroad in Europe, the Americas, and Africa; collaborative research projects with faculty; study away in New York City; and service learning practicums in which students provide supervised professional services to clients across campus and in the community.

Many of these hands-on experiences are coordinated through our three research and service Centers, providing numerous ways for students to get involved in their projects, outreach, and research.
