Professor Sharon Dotger Named Co-Editor of International Lesson Study Journal

Sharon Dotger, Syracuse University School of Education Associate Professor and a science education expert, has been elected the new Co-Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Lesson and Learning Studies.

Sharon DotgerDotger shares the editorial position with Sui Lin Goei, Assistant Professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Professor of Inclusive Environments at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences, both in The Netherlands.

Published by Emerald, the International Journal of Lesson and Learning Studies publishes articles on methods aimed at improving the quality of teaching and learning in formal educational settings.

Lesson and learning studies can take the form of action research, design experiments, and formative evaluations designed to foster a democratic, discursive, and action-orientated inquiry process for a variety of learners, such as teachers-in-training.

The official academic publication of the World Association of Lesson Studies (WALS), the journal promotes interdisciplinary and cross-national collaboration between groups of teacher educators, educational researchers, and schoolteachers.
