At the annual 44 Stars of Excellence Awards Gala on April 19, students, registered student organizations and organization advisors were celebrated and recognized for their many contributions to the campus community.
Included in the Awards for Diversity and Inclusion was Amanda Spoleti ’18, inclusive elementary and special education major, for her work with the Syracuse Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Syracuse Athletics, and the SU Cheer Team in organizing an event on campus for the National Down Syndrome Society this past fall. The Award for Diversity and Inclusion is presented to students and registered student organizations who have demonstrated a sincere commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion by serving as advocates for awareness on campus and in the community.
