B.S in Selected Studies in Education (focus on Education, Technology, & Media)
Hometown: Port Jefferson, New York
What do you like best about Selected Studies? Why did you choose your focus area?
It allows me to take a variety of education classes, while also exploring other classes in my focus. In addition, it allows me to double major and have the opportunity to explore more of my interests. I enjoy learning how technology can be incorporated into learning and instruction. Technology is prevalent in our society today and it's important that instructors and students use technology to enhance learning.
What are some research, community, and extra-curriculur activities you have participated in while at SU?
I was administrative chair of Habitat for Humanity for three semesters, I have was a peer advisor for a 2 years and also sat on the board of peer advisors, I was a teaching assistant for an EDU 101 class, and am a founder of Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority.
What are your plans after you graduate?
I am graduating in May, but I will be returning in the fall as a student in the Instructional Design, Development, and Evaluation Master's program.
