Sharif Bey, professor of art education in the Department of Teaching and Leadership and the College of Visual and Performing Arts, spoke to Syracuse University Magazine about how art changed his life, and how he now uses it to shape the lives of his students and communities.

“Making art makes for a more fierce, more engaged citizen.”
