Marketing, Communications, and Events

The Marketing, Communications, and Events (MCE) office within the School of Education helps faculty, staff, students, and others across the School communicate clearly, effectively, efficiently, and within the Syracuse University brand. We also support marketing and public relations effort for the School, as well as coordinating major school events. All of these efforts are done with a beyond compliance approach to physical and digital accessibility and inclusion.

Where We Can Help

  • Media Relations coordination between faculty, administration, SU News Services, and outside media organizations to gain exposure for research, academic programs, faculty expertise, and more.
  • News pieces, press releases, newsletters, and external communications including any communications involving alumni groups (per Alumni Relations policies).
  • Management of the School of Education website and social media channels, including editing existing content or consulting on new content creation.
  • Accessibility training, reviewing documents and materials, or consulting on outside services to increase accessibility.
  • Publication, print, digital, email, and other design services for projects in line with School of Education priorities. Any materials made to represent the School of Education using the School and/or University branding should be reviewed by MCE, and academic program materials must also be approved by the Office of Academic and Student Services.
  • Coordination and release rights management of photography and videography.
  • Planning, publicity, and on-site coordination of major School events, including development of event framing and theme, contracts and staffing, planning logistics, and on-site coordination.
