Intercollegiate Athletic Advising and Support, CAS

Program Requirements

The Intercollegiate Athletic Advising and Support certificate program requires 15 graduate credits. It can be completed part time or full time. A few courses are offered in hybrid or remote format.

Students take a required core of 4 courses (12 credits), plus an elective more specifically tailored to their interests. Coursework areas may include:

  • Overview of Intercollegiate Athletics in Higher Education
  • Intercollegiate Student Athlete Needs, Challenges, and Identity
  • Principles and Practices of Student Affairs Administration
  • College Student Development, Identity, and Learning
  • Research on College Student Access and Success
  • Principles and Practices of Higher Education Administration Leadership and Administration
