About the Conference
The Study Council at Syracuse University again welcomes longtime colleague, the New York State School Boards Association, as a partner in the 33rd Annual Education Law Conference. The all day program consists of seminars focusing on pertinent developments in critical issues significant to public schools. A highlight of this year’s program will be a review of recent federal and state policy reform initiatives for public schools entitled “Are Changes Really Coming?” with featured presenters Michael Resnick, Esq. associate executive director, National School Boards Association; Jay Warona, Esq., general counsel and director of legal and policy services, NYS School Boards Association and Benjamin J. Ferrara, Esq., Ferrara, Fiorenza, Larrison, Barrett & Reitz, P. C. In addition to the sessions, Erlease Wagner, Esq., director of athletic compliance, Syracuse University will be discussing NCAA compliance issues with participants during lunch.
