The Syracuse University School of Education welcomes international graduate students to join its vibrant learning community. We offer exceptional C.A.S., M.S., Ed.D. and Ph.D. programs in teaching and non-teaching areas including Counseling and Human Services, Cultural Foundations of Education, Exercise Science, Higher Education, Instructional Design, Development & Evaluation, and Reading and Language Arts. Outstanding teacher preparation and educational leadership programs are taught within the Teaching and Leadership Department.

Applying to a Graduate Program

Applicants for the SOE Graduate Programs are required to submit an Online Application.

Submitting Academic Credentials/Official Transcripts

Applicants are required to submit one Official Transcript of Academic Credentials from previous colleges/universities attended. Original transcripts must be translated into English. Official transcripts must be received by Syracuse University in a sealed envelope directly from the academic institution.

English Proficiency Requirements

Applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores to complete their application. The exams scores must be sent to the Syracuse University Enrollment Management Processing Center. Please submit TOEFL scores to the Syracuse University Institution code 2823.

International Student Funding Requirements

International students are required to demonstrate sufficient funding for at least their first year of graduate study in order for Syracuse University to issue the visa eligibility document needed for student visa authorization. Determining Equivalency of a U.S. Bachelor’s Degree
