McNair Scholars Program
About our program
The McNair Scholars Program at Syracuse University is a federally funded TRIO program that prepares high achieving undergraduate students for graduate/doctoral studies with hands-on research, academic services and financial support. The program is designed to provide motivation, encouragement, and support to students from all disciplines. We work closely with participants through their undergraduate requirements; encourage their entrance into graduate programs, and track their progress to successful completion of advanced degrees. The program is funded to serve twenty-eight (28) scholars annually.
About the McNair Program
The McNair Scholars Program is designed to provide motivation, encouragement, and support to eligible students from all disciplines. We will work closely with you through your undergraduate requirements, and help you navigate the graduate school application process - from exploration to application, and track your progress to successful completion of advanced degrees. The program is comprised of two required parts: a six week summer academy designed to help you successfully navigate the GRE, research and other key aspects of your preparation for graduate school; and an academic year program.
