Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation

Admissions

All applicants to graduate programs at Syracuse University must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. In addition, applicants to the IDD&E doctoral program require the completion of a master's degree or equivalent in order to enroll in the doctoral program. The Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation program recommends that applicants have an undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or better. owever, in reviewing applications, all elements are carefully considered: references, educational record, test scores, honors, work experience, and statement of academic goals


The Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation program requires applicants to submit the following materials to be considered a candidate for admission to the School:

Ph. D.

  • Graduate Application: Two Copies
  • Statement of Goals: Two Copies
  • Recommendation letter: Three Letters
  • Official Transcript: Two Copies
  • GRE: V
  • TOEFL: I (only)

C.A.S.

  • Graduate Application: Two Copies
  • Statement of Goals: Two Copies
  • Recommendation letter: Three Letters
  • Official Transcript: Two Copies
  • GRE: V
  • TOEFL: I (only)

M.S.

  • Graduate Application: Two Copies
  • Statement of Goals: Two Copies
  • Recommendation letter: Three Letters
  • Official Transcript: Two Copies
  • TOEFL: I (only)

*Pre-Master's Certificate Programs

  • Graduate Application: Two Copies
  • Statement of Goals: Two Copies
  • Recommendation letter: Three Letters
  • Official Transcript: Two Copies
  • TOEFL: I (only)

 

*Pre-Master's certificate programs include three certificates: Certificate of Educational Technology, Certificate of Professional Practice in Educational Technology, and Certificate in Lifelong Learning and Continuing Education.

Applications will not be considered for admission until all of the above materials have been submitted for review. Once an applicant has been admitted, an application for financial assistance is considered.
