Master of Science in Student Affairs Counseling
The School of Education offers two master's programs that prepare students to work in colleges and universities; the Higher Education Program and the Student Affairs Counseling Program. The Master of Science in Student Affairs Counseling is a 48 credit hour master's degree program that emphasizes preparation as a professional counselor for those roles, within student affairs offices, for which counseling skills are valuable. Students and graduates of the program work in university offices such as the career development center, campus substance abuse programs and rape crisis centers, multicultural and international students' offices, residence life, and the judicial office. For more detailed information about this counseling program and our department policies, please visit our Master's Handbook.
