Master's in School Counseling

Prepares professional school counselors to work in:

• Elementary, middle, and high school settings
• With children and adolescents in both public and private schools across rural, urban and suburban contexts.

Graduates are currently working in schools across the country, from New York to Hawaii.

Master's in Student Affairs Counseling  

Prepares professional counselors for those roles within colleges and university student affairs offices for which counseling skills are valuable such as:

• University career centers
• Campus substance abuse programs and rape crisis centers
• Multicultural and international students' offices
• Residence life
• Judicial office
• Advisement offices
• Student serivce offices

Certificate of Advanced Study in School Counseling

The Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) allows students to complete the educational requirements for permanent school counselor certification in New York state. The CAS is appropriate both for students with a Master's in school counseling and for students who have a Master's in another specialty within counseling but wish to pursue N.Y. state certification as a school counselor.
 

Doctoral Program in Counselor Education and Supervision

Prepares graduates for academic positions in:

• Counselor Education 
• Clinical and supervisory positions in university counseling centers
• Senior positions in a variety of educational and mental health settings
